Citizens of the following states may travel to Hungary without visa
Andorra, Antigua & Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Guatemala, Holy See (Vatican), Honduras, Hong Kong (the exemption applies only to holders of a “Hong Kong Special Administrative Region” passport), Israel, Japan, Macao (the exemption applies only to holders of a “Regio Administrativa Especial de Macau” passport), Macedonia, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Republic of Seychelles, Salvador, San Marino, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Serbia, Singapore, Republic of Korea (South Korea), Switzerland, Trinidad & Tobago, United States of America, Uruguay, Venezuela may travel to Hungary without visa. Students from Bosnia & Herzegovina and Albania can travel to Hungary without a visa if they possess a special, biometric passport (sometimes also called e-passport). Students from Republic of China (Taiwan) can travel to Hungary without a visa if their passports also contain the number of their identification card.
