Citizens of non-EEA, visa free countries to Hungary

Upon arrival in Budapest, students from these countries must obtain a residence permit for the duration of their studies in Hungary. Please note that you must arrange this in 30 days after arrival in Hungary.
Below is a list of the documents that you need to prepare in order to apply for the residence permit. You will receive further instructions during the orientation sessions at CEU. In addition, the CEU Student Life Office is ready to check the collected forms.
Please note: when applying for residence permit all required documents should be submitted to the Immigration Office at the same time.

| Proof of health insurance in Hungary (original and photocopy) All students who receive financial aid from CEU are covered by the CEU Generali Providencia Health Plan for which they need to register upon arrival. If your application package is complete you can expect to receive your residence permit within two weeks from the Immigration Office. If you have any questions please write to residenceinfo [at] ceu [dot] hu.
