Student Services
Central European University is committed to providing a range of support services to guide students from the point of admission, throughout their enrollment, and after graduation. Student support is an essential component of student life in this internationally-diverse graduate community. As a key point of interaction between student expectations and institutional needs, CEU's student support services seek to contribute to the overall student experience as an integral part of the educational process.
Student Services at CEU form an integrated student support unit, including activities such as enrollment planning, student recruitment, admissions, financial aid, student records, student life, housing arrangements, career services and alumni relations, and research into the student experience. In the framework of a holistic approach to student development and support, Student Services are also the contact point for other functions such as student out-of-class involvement, student participation in the university governance as well as in the Student Union. In a conscious effort to reflect the broad geographic diversity of the CEU student body, CEU Student Services have a multinational staff.
All CEU services for students aim to translate the mission and policies of the university into effective and consistent support programs, serving multiple roles:
- enabling knowledge about, and communication with, students that go beyond the classroom;
- fostering individual, cultural and social development;
- enhancing the institutional capacity to provide an integrated and reflective services program.
