Welcome to the CEU SAP Information Page

CEU introduces a new Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) from 1 August 2010. The aim of this project is to replace CEU's outdated management infrastructure with the latest collaborative software offered by SAP, a leading provider of integrated applications. The overall objective of the new system is to increase the efficiency and transparency of university operations by installing application supported solutions for procurement of goods and services, reporting, budgeting, accounting, or management tasks that are often done manually at the present.

CEU collaborates with S&T, a leading provider in IT consulting, in introducing this new system. The CEU project team is comprised by approx. 20 people and is headed by Liviu Matei, COO, and Mark Kiss, CFO; Integration Managers: Gabriella Beni, Chief Accountant and Zsuzsanna Weisz, Procurement Office; Peter Kriston-Vizi, Technology Manager; and Change Manager Robert Sata, POLSCI Coordinator.

The SAP minisite has been updated, please check for revised content. Info on adobe form attachments is now available for download. You can also find new information on how to register grant requests for students. The site is regularly updated please check back often.

CEU SAP Updates – purchasing processes

The SAP mini-site at www.ceu.hu/sap is an important place to check for the latest information regarding the system. Information on installing, login as well as specific budget/project codes, downloadable interactive forms, and a helpdesk section are available for your use.

We are eager to receive your feedback regarding the SAP system. We would like to further streamline some of the present processes, but for these we need your input.

CEU SAP Updates – functions to be implemented until January

We would like to report that no major difficulty with the new system was encountered in the first two months of its operation and developments are going on as planned. Next to the reporting function, CEU is on track to introduce the Management Information System within SAP, followed by Consolidation and Planning modules. Additional training sessions for each module are planned to familiarize users with system settings.

CEU SAP Launch

The CEU ERP goes live on August 2, the Purchasing Module of SAP (Material Management or MM in SAP terminology) on August 9, 2010.

During the transition period of the first week of August all the current paper forms should be used.
