Game on the Loose: Reparations Near Kruger National Park

We are generally used to hearing positive things about conservation efforts and wildlife preservation. But imagine a four-ton elephant ramming through an electric fence and trampling your crops or a lion on the hunt for your cattle.

CEU has established a reputation as a research-intensive university through the outstanding work of its faculty members, 17 interdisciplinary research centers, and some dozen less structured faculty/student research groups.

From 2010 to 2012, external research funding grew by 82.8 percent, from €3.26 million to €5.96 million. Funding sources include the European Union’s Framework Programs, the European Research Council, the United Nations, government agencies, private foundations, international NGOs, and other private and public sources. The European Commission alone is funding 42 ongoing research projects that CEU conducts in collaboration with several dozen universities.
