Program Description: 

The objective of the program is to provide students with advanced knowledge about the economic effects of divergent laws and to prepare them for a career in public organizations, business or law firms. The MA in Economic and Legal Studies is a full fee-paying program. No tuition waiver or stipend is available.

Entry Requirements for the Master’s Programs
In addition to meeting the General CEU Admissions Requirements, applicants to the MA programs must submit a 500-word essay introducing their research topic and explaining their academic/professional background. Applicants should indicate how further studies at CEU would help them achieve their future career goals. In addition, applicants must either:
• pass a department-specific examination in basic calculus, probability theory and linear algebra as well as the CEU-administered Test of Writing Ability, or
• submit general GRE test scores no later than March 16, 2010.

Special entry requirements for the Master’s Program in Economic and Legal Studies
Applicants are required to have earned a BA in Economics (or equivalent), and to include an additional statement of purpose explaining why they wish to study law and economics.
