Zsuzsanna Gábor
Zsuzsa Gábor has been with the CEU since 1997. She has been the director of ACRO since it was set up in May 2006. In 2000-2006, as founding member of Center for Policy Studies (CPS), she worked as its program manager and later senior program manager. At CPS she gained experience in managing multi-donor, international research projects, including grants from OSI, Volkswagen, RAND, the World Bank, and D.G. Research of the European Commission, in the 5th and 6th Framework Programs. She was administrative coordinator of an FP6 STREP consortium (DIOSCURI) and a Marie Curie Excellence project (KNOWNET). She took part in establishing the Department of Public Policy, including securing an Erasmus Mundus Program grant in which the DPP acts as coordinator (MundusMAPP). Ms. Gabor managed the OSI International Fellowship Program’s Faculty Grant scheme. She was instrumental in setting up procedures and policies at the CEU regarding the administration of externally funded research projects and she trained many project administrators at the CEU. Before joining CPS she was Head of Public Services at the CEU Library at a time when the Library was moved to its present, larger premises, and its procedures of lending, training and inter-library services were developed.
Zsuzsa also worked as an art historian for the Hungarian National Gallery and as an editor for various art history books written in English.
