Anna Selmeczi is a PhD candidate in the Department of International Relations and European Studies at the Central European University, Budapest. Her dissertation – drawing on field research with Abahlali baseMjondolo, a South African shantytown movement – focuses on the possible forms of political action in the face of biopolitical abandonment.
