Academic/Professional experience, and Achievements: 

Rositsa Bateson holds a PhD in Higher Education Management from the University of Southampton (UK), where she is also a Visiting Fellow. She is a graduate of the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Since 2007, Rositsa Bateson has been teaching in the Higher Education Policy and Management Stream of the Department of Public Policy ('Innovation, implementation, and management in higher education' ). She also teaches professional development workshops in the field of integrated student services management within the Higher Education Management Program of CEU's Special and Extension Programs.

Following a tenure of 10 years as Vice President for Student Services at CEU, Rositsa Bateson joined the University of Abertay Dundee in November 2009 as Pro Vice Chancellor and Professor of Higher Education Management.

She is an active member of the European Association of Institutional Research, the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, and NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.

In 2010, Professor Bateson was elected to serve on the Executive Board of the European Association for International Education (EAIE).
