Students interested in Ottoman and Turkish Studies at CEU have a choice of applying to a One Year MA, Two Year MA or PhD. For research topics that focus on the period up to the end of the 17th century please consider applying to the Medieval Studies Department. Those interested in later topics should apply to the History Department. While knowledge of modern and/or Ottoman Turkish is desirable for candidates applying to study Ottoman history, it is not a condition of acceptance.
