Erasmus Teaching Staff Mobility Grants
The LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME/Erasmus mobility activities scheme is a Higher Education Program of the European Commission. This program facilitates a period of study abroad for students as well as teaching exchange possibilities in another European country.
Exchange possibilities include teaching periods abroad from a minimum of 5 working hours (a week) to 6 weeks at any university which holds an European University Charter.
The period abroad should be accomplished latest by 30 September, 2010.
The maximum grant amount that may be expected is 800 € / week. For the whole teaching period abroad, the total grant cannot be higher than 2000 €.
For more information please read the below announcement and the attached Teaching Staff Mobility principles.
If you think you would like to apply for an LLP/Erasmus Teaching staff mobility grant then please complete the attached TS application form and submit your application to me.
Applications can be submitted until Friday, the 18th September, 2009.
Eligibility:
* Mobility is possible only between institutions who have signed bilateral agreements prior to departure. Attached you will find a list of those institutions with whom CEU has already signed agreements.
* The program is now open to the participation of the following countries:
Member States of the European Union (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom),
the 3 European Economic Area countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway) and
the candidate countries (Turkey).
* The participating teachers must be nationals of one of the countries participating, or having an official status in Hungary (permanent residents, refugees, stateless persons).
Please note that based on the information I received from Tempus Public Foundation, the Hungarian contact point of Erasmus, not only professors, but also PhD students can benefit from Erasmus Teaching Staff mobility funds. Any applicant within this program, however, has to have an employment relationship with Közép-európai Egyetem and has to do some teaching as per activities in this contract.
* The grant is intended as a contribution to travel and subsistence costs, and does not cover all the actual expenses incurred. The grant does not affect other financial support (except any other support from European Union, see Mobility Principles). The amount depends on the country visited and the length of the teaching abroad period.
* Priority should be given to candidates who participate for the first time in Erasmus Teaching Staff Mobility.
Applications will be evaluated based on the attached ERASMUS TEACHER SELECTION CRITERIA by the CEU Scholarships Advisory Committee.
(date will be announced later)
