Dear All,

We would like to announce publication of a new Call for proposals within the framework of the Industrialised Countries Instrument - Education Cooperation Programme.

The Industrialised Countries Instrument (ICI) promotes cooperation between the European Union and seventeen industrialised and other high-income countries and territories in North America, the Asia-Pacific region and the Gulf region.  One of the supported specific actions promotes "people-to-people links" with the aim to enhance mutual understanding between cultures and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge.

The current 2009-Call for Proposals addresses bilateral cooperation in higher education and training between the EU and Australia, Japan and Republic of Korea.

It aims to support Joint Mobility projects focused on structured exchanges of students and faculty members; and on the joint development of joint, or shared curricula and joint study programmes.

All the mobility projects must address: development of innovative international curricula; student services, language and cultural preparation; organisational frameworks for student mobility and faculty members' mobility; evaluation; and sustainability and dissemination.

The Call is open to consortia of higher education and/or vocational education and training institutions. Eligible applicants must be from one of the 27 countries of the European Union and from one of the Partner Countries.

The deadline for submitting applications is 15th September 2009.
