An Erasmus Mundus Master's Course at CEU is Funded for Second Time
MESPOM, the Masters course in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management, which CEU has operated from 2005 jointly with Lund University (Sweden), the University of Manchester (UK) and the University of the Aegean (Greece), has been awarded the status of an Erasmus Mundus course for the second time (for 2010-2015). In the last four years, students from over 55 countries of five continents have studied at MESPOM. It has been selected in the first round of the new Erasmus Mundus program together with other joint European Masters courses in areas ranging from nanoscience to wine-making representing the areas of European excellence. The renewed MESPOM will include additional partners: the Middlebury College and the Monterey Institute for Advanced Studies (USA) and the University of Saskatchewan (Canada) providing excellent opportunities for students' thesis research. Erasmus Mundus scholarships from the European Commission will now also be available to EU students and will increase in size. The renewed MESPOM will be open for applications in the Fall and Winter of 2009 to accept its first students in September 2010. CEU also operates Erasmus Mundus Masters courses in Public Policy and in Gender and Women studies.
