Directed by Harun Farocki, Andrei Ujica, 1992, 106 min
(In Romanian and English with English subtitles)
Made in 1992 by the German documentary filmmaker and producer, this is a compilation of official television programs on the 1989 Romanian revolution and of amateur footage. Viewers are once again enthralled by the historic moment as it appeared on TV: wounded insurgents filmed live in the studio, demonstrations, the dictator’s last speech, his flight, perplexity, and the amateur footage of the execution of the dictator and his wife.
