International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
Ending violence against women was espoused formally as goal by the United Nations, so what is it that's not working? This conference, organized by students at the Department of Gender Studies in honor of the UN's International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, offers a three-part conference to discuss the laws, politics, cultural aspects of violence against women. From battlefields to the bedroom, women are targets of violence.
