When he heard that the Berlin wall had been torn down overnight by thousands of ordinary citizens, Mstislav Rostropovich, one of the greatest cellists in the history of music, flew straight to Berlin, where on November 11, 1989 he gave an impromptu concert on a borrowed chair near Checkpoint Charlie.

OSA Archivum wishes to commemorate this unique (musical-)historical event with a concert by cellist Ditta Rohmann.
