1. Know the fundamental techniques of Environmental Impact 
Assessment  
2. Understand the challenges involved in preparing high quality impact 
assessments and integrating them into decision-making procedures 
3. Be familiar with the role of and major approaches to reviewing quality of impact assessments.

4. Be able to analyze the effectiveness of impact assessment and similar tools for environmental decision-making, planning and strategy formulation
