In March 2012, current and former recipients of the Alumni Scholarship followed up their Blanket Drive for the Homeless initiative with an equally successful fundraising campaign, aiming to provide hot tea to Budapest's homeless in the cold winter season.

On November 23, 2011, Alumni Scholarship recipient Madina Akhesthina (GENS ’12) concluded the fourth and final session of the "Yes, You Can Do It!” workshop series, held every Wednesday in November 2011. On November 21, 2011, CEU students and Alumni Scholarship recipients organized an afternoon screening of beloved cartoons from all over the world in celebration of Universal Children's Day (November 20) at CEU.

On Thursday, October 20, 2011, Andrei Lutenco (Moldova, LEGS '12), one of the 20 students who got a scholarship thanks to CEU alumni this year, is co-organizing CEU's first-ever intellectual game show series, What? Where? When? CEU alumni, students, faculty and staff are forming teams of 2 to 6 people to compete for a grand prize and the fame of being pronounced the brainiacs of the world's most international university.
