Prof. Brandon Anthony, Alina Szabo (PhD candidate), and Lusine Margaryan (ESP 2006-2007; currently PhD student at Mid Sweden University), all took part in Europe's 1st Workshop on Integrating Human Dimensions into Fish & Wildlife Management.

Richard Hodges, rector of the American University of Rome was a keynote speaker of the conference ‘Pirenne 150: Perception, Reflection, Historiography’ (15-16 November 2012). The conference was convened on the occasion of the 150^th anniversary of the birth of Henri Pirenne. Professor Hodges is an outstanding expert of late ancient and early medieval archaeology.
