Acclaimed Journalist at OSA Tuesday for Book Launch

Award-winning reporter Kati Marton will discuss her latest book, Enemies of the People: My Family's Journey to America, Tuesday at OSA. Marton has worked as a journalist and contributor for ABC News, National Public Radio, The New Yorker, Atlantic Monthly, The Times of London, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Vanity Fair and The New Republic. She currently sits on the board of directors for the Committee To Protect Journalists, the New York-based non-profit that works to defend press freedom and journalists around the world.

A native Hungarian who fled Budapest with her parents after their arrests in the mid-1950s, Marton’s Enemy of the People is based on Hungarian secret police files (AVO) she used to reconstruct her childhood and family history. The author will be introduced by CEU Rector John Shattuck, and the discussion moderated by OSA director Istvan Rev. Starts at 6 p.m.
