Restructuring the Contributors Area

The Contributors' Area (minisite) has been restructured to simplify navigation and reduce menu clutter as follows:

• The Web Task Force group/minisite has been merged with the Website Development minisite to form the new Contributors Area (Minisite); it's URL is http://web2.ceu.hu/website;

• The Contributors Area is based on the Marvin theme which is no also the Administrative Theme for the site (i.e. the Theme which you see when you add or edit the content)

This, in particular, means that Marvin theme should be cloned for the Contributors' Area or at least removed from any other minisite (I am recording an Issue);

• The new Contributors Links menu has been created to be shown on the Marvin's Theme at the top in the left sidebar. It gives access to the site overview and statistics (such as recent posts and reports), shortcuts to Issues and to the most frequently performed Administrative Tasks as well as to different Support Links.
• The My CEU Web menu has been merged with the Navigation menu which in turn was radically simplified by disabling many automatically generated but infrequently used links. All authorised users should see it on their right-hand side at the top in all themes. The Contribute to Website link directs to the Contributors area, but many usual tasks can be performed without passing it directly from the Navigation.
  • In the future I envision the Navigation Menu to be available to all authenticated Users whereas Contributors Links perhaps limited to Administrators and Editors.
