CEU's award-winning Center for Academic Writing (CAW) offers all MA and PhD students professional help and advice with course assignments, from short essays, term papers and research proposals right through to the Master’s or PhD thesis.

American-style graduate education requires students to do a large amount of high quality academic writing, far more than many students from the region are used to. The CAW, which is among the leading writing centers in Europe, provides state-of-the-art courses in graduate academic writing and individual tutoring to help students develop and present their ideas clearly and effectively according to the needs of their discipline. We also offer extensive online writing resources.

Our goal is to equip you with the organizational, critical and argumentative skills you need not only to complete your degree assignments with flying colors, but to write confidently in academic, professional and policy contexts after your graduation from CEU.
